Emotion-Based Parenting Webinar

Zeb and Christine will be offering an Emotion-Based Parenting Webinar for the parents of our James North Church community.  

If you are the caregiver of a child or youth who is experiencing an emotional and/or behavioural difficulty, regardless of their age or stage of development, please consider registering for this free and anonymous 4 session parenting webinar. 

Weekly: Monday Evenings April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Zoom Webinar Anonymous Participation: Recording of each Webinar available for 1 week after each session  This webinar series is based in Emotion Focused Skills Training for Parents (EFST-P) and is for parents and caregivers looking to strengthen relationships with their kids / teens and feel more effective in parenting.

Topics include:

  • Introduction to emotion-based parenting tools including emotion coaching and validation
  • Learn the "magnets" in you that your kids trigger, and learn how to get out of "feeling traps”
  • Learn a new way to think about boundaries and become aware of your boundary style   



Zeb has been a member of James North Baptist Church for many years, and attends regularly with his wife Laura and 4 children Oscar, Henry, Joseph and Mabel.  Zeb is also a Registered Social Worker at McMaster Children’s Hospital, working in the Children’s Mental Health program for over 10 years, providing psychotherapy to children, youth and their families.   

Christine has been a member of Philpott Memorial Church for many years.  She is a Registered Social Worker who has over 15 years of experience working with children, youth and their families in various mental health settings.  She is currently working in private practice and trained in EFST, offering emotion based parenting support to caregivers of children and youth with mental health issues.
